Wanderburg Build Planner

Compare three documented Wanderburg build cores against your owned modules. Check Side-slot conflicts, missing pieces and fallback decisions before spending Silver.

3 documented cores; no DPS simulation

The Wanderburg build planner compares three documented cores with the modules you select. It shows what you own, which pieces are missing, and whether the complete recipe needs a Side slot that Spiderburg lacks. Choose your modules below to find a practical direction for the next run.

These are gameplay-based plans, not measured best-in-slot rankings. The tool does not calculate damage, boss time-to-kill, unlock prices or a guaranteed completion rate. Check the slots and effects displayed by your installed game before spending Silver.

Cannons with a deliberate firing plan

0/2 core modules owned

Combine Side Cannons with compatible cannon pressure. Learn which attack fires forward and which asks for a broadside before investing further in damage.

Use the functioning core you own. Treat missing modules as conditional choices, rather than a reason to discard a viable run.
Movement and failure checks

Approach a fight with an exit already in mind. For a broadside, pass with the intended target alongside rather than assuming that pointing the nose at it is enough. For Front Cannon, use the forward line only when the approach is safe. Fire during a useful opening, then keep steering; do not remain stationary simply to watch the result. If another weapon supplies safer damage during retreat, let it do that job instead of repeatedly turning back into incoming attacks.

The cannon gameplay includes mixed loadouts, so not every impressive explosion belongs to Side Cannons. A Front Cannon special upgrade must not be copied into a Side Cannons upgrade tree. This library also does not claim a fully tested Patchy record build: the captain-specific cannon recommendation has a different evidence base. Treat cannon-family synergy as a reason to make compatible choices, not as proof that all cannon combinations are equally strong.

Arrows and deployed turrets

0/3 core modules owned

Use Turret Layer, Archer Tower and Side Ballista as one arrow-focused core. Favor this plan when you can keep enemies inside deployed turret coverage while steering your castle out of danger.

Movement and failure checks

Set up where enemies will approach, then steer along a route that keeps those enemies near the turrets. Avoid turning every retreat into a journey across the entire map. When a boss moves away, evaluate whether returning to the firing area is safe; do not drive through danger just to preserve an old deployment. Use the castle's own attacks during repositioning and deploy again when you have room. If you take Ram, think about where the movement will end before activating it.

A long recorded run does not establish a universal ranking or an infinite survival method. Turret position, available upgrades and the map all affect the result. Late pressure can still force you away from your firing area. The clearest warning sign is a visually busy battlefield with little damage on the target you need dead: first check coverage, then decide whether another damage upgrade is actually the missing piece.

Empress barracks and Companion

0/3 core modules owned

Build around Front Barracks, Side Barracks and Companion. Friendly units supply pressure while your castle handles movement, collection and survival.

Movement and failure checks

Keep collecting and repositioning while the units fight, but continue watching the battlefield around the castle. Let friendly units engage a dangerous area without assuming you must park beside them. When moving toward a reward, decide how you will leave after collecting it. On desert stages, marked impacts remain a movement problem even if your army is winning the damage race. If you survive the main boss sequence, reassess health and escape options before treating Overtime as more of the same encounter.

The Empress desert run eventually dies to Overtime mortars. It is evidence that the setup can function, not evidence that it neutralizes desert hazards. The transcript also discusses gold-generating and healing crew options; the recorded choice of Merchant does not prove it is always better than recovery. A player who repeatedly runs out of health has a different problem from one whose early upgrades arrive too slowly.

“Core modules owned” means the selected collection contains the named core. It does not mean the modules are equipped, upgraded or currently offered during a run. “Check slots on my chassis” leaves compatibility for you to verify; it does not certify that every chassis supports every recipe. Selecting Spiderburg adds the specific documented restriction that it has no Side slot.

The share button copies a link containing your selected module IDs and chassis constraint. Opening that link restores those choices. It is a reference for this website, not a game import code; it does not modify a save or equip a castle. Unknown module IDs in a pasted URL are ignored.

Choose a damage plan your account can support

Arrows and deployed turrets: the full core uses Turret Layer, Archer Tower and Side Ballista. Its recorded Norbert run supports a practical route where the castle keeps moving while enemies remain exposed to prepared turret coverage. A strong equipment list will still disappoint if every retreat leaves those turrets far behind. Read the arrows guide before committing to the route.

Summoned units: Front Barracks, Side Barracks and Companion create pressure from allied attackers. The Empress gameplay example supports the setup as a way to clear the main sequence. It does not establish an Overtime record or prove that the castle can ignore incoming projectiles. A missing Companion is a reason to develop functioning barracks, not to assume an existing army has stopped working.

Cannon pressure: Side Cannons and Front Cannon create a burst-oriented core, with Early Access gameplay documenting the equipment and progression. Side fire needs a useful broadside position; forward fire needs a useful heading. A damage upgrade cannot make an attack land on an enemy outside its firing lane. The Side Cannons reference explains the positioning decision.

For complete equipment, upgrade priorities and failure points, open the build library. The planner deliberately uses that same source-backed library so its recipes and the full guides stay aligned.

Missing modules are shown by name so you can compare them with the permanent collection screen. For the sequence from challenge completion to purchase and equipment, use first module unlocks. The planner has no verified current price table and cannot tell whether a locked choice should already appear in your game.

Keep ordinary clears separate from Overtime

The three recipes are conditional starting points. They were observed in different runs and are not a controlled comparison. Selecting every checkbox does not make one setup universally stronger than the others.

When bosses die reliably but the run ends later, keep the successful damage core and inspect what removed your ability to survive. The Overtime guide separates crowd control, incoming attacks and escape space. Use module upgrades when the question is which existing attack a choice actually improves.

What is verified and what remains open?

The equipment names, example cores and qualitative failure checks come from the linked gameplay records and the existing build library. This tool organizes those records around the player's owned modules. It does not inspect live game files or prove present-build compatibility for every chassis.

Exact damage, scaling, unlock costs, spawn rules and success probabilities remain outside this planner. For all documented module names and their supported behavior, browse the searchable module database. For changes explicitly announced by the developer, check the patch notes guide.
