Site Operator and Scope
Kevin operates Wanderburg Wiki at wanderburg-wiki.online. Contact [email protected] about this policy or a privacy request. This independent guide site is not operated by the game developer or publisher. Our publishing principles and contact details explain the site's role.
You can read the guides without an account. This policy describes this website, not the privacy practices of the game's publisher or of websites linked from our Footer.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which guides people visit and how they use the site. Google Analytics loads automatically on the production website. There is no analytics permission popup or on-site accept/reject control. Browser privacy tools may block the script or its requests.
When analytics runs, Google receives usage information such as visited page URLs and titles, referral information, browser and device details, interaction events, and cookie-based identifiers. Network requests also expose connection information to their recipient. Do not put private information into page URL parameters. We do not intentionally send your name or email address as analytics fields.
Our tag keeps advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization denied, and disables Google Signals and ad personalization signals. Analytics is for measuring site use, not for presenting a game account or an official player profile. Google processes information through its infrastructure, which may be outside your country. Google's own privacy and data practices also apply; this policy does not replace them.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services for Google's explanation of this processing.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity is enabled across the site through project yki45ed6ft. Its script loads automatically after the page becomes interactive. We use its session and interaction analysis to understand navigation, clicks, scrolling and problems with page controls. It is separate from Google Analytics and from the game's own statistics.
Microsoft's documentation describes collection of interaction events, page and device information, diagnostic events and page structure used for session playback. The information available for a visit depends on Microsoft's processing rules, browser restrictions and applicable consent signals; loading the tag does not prove that every visit produces a complete recording. This site has no on-site Clarity consent or preference control. Browser tracking protection or a script blocker may block requests.
Microsoft processes the information under its own terms and privacy practices. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity data collection documentation. Do not put private information in page URLs or tool inputs. This policy does not certify a particular masking configuration or promise that every displayed field is excluded from analytics.
Advertising
Published pages reserve up to four clearly labelled placements: two fixed-size side Display placements on wide desktop, one in-content Display placement, and one Native Banner before the Footer. Narrower viewports replace the two side placements with one responsive Display placement. Display slots without real network code remain blank and do not make an advertising request.
The site code only supports Display and Native Banner units. It does not include separate Popunder, Smartlink, Social Bar, popup, or page-overlay loaders. Adult campaign eligibility is controlled in the Adsterra dashboard rather than by this website's code; it must be disabled and verified there before advertising is released. Configured Adsterra scripts run directly in the page's advertisement placements.
When an advertisement loads, Adsterra and participating advertising partners may receive the page URL, IP address, browser or device details, and identifiers provided through cookies or similar technologies. Third-party scripts running in the page may also interact with the page, including opening or navigating windows; exact behavior can vary by campaign. An ad blocker or browser privacy feature may prevent an advertisement or its request from loading. A configured Native Banner that returns no visible creative is removed automatically; unconfigured Display positions remain labelled blank space.
Adsterra controls the advertisements delivered through its network. The required dashboard exclusions and the limited formats described above are configuration choices, not a guarantee about every third-party creative. See the Adsterra Privacy Policy for Adsterra's description of its processing and contact channels.
Cookies and Browser Storage
- Earlier analytics preferences: earlier versions stored a choice under
wanderburg-wiki:analytics-consent:v1. The current version no longer reads or writes that entry; a previous choice does not control automatic loading. You can remove the old entry through your browser's site-data controls. - Appearance preference:
wanderburg-wiki:moderemembers your day or night theme on this browser until you change or clear it. It is separate from analytics consent. - Analytics cookies: Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as
_gaand_ga_04K80LQT2Cto distinguish visits and sessions. Their lifetime depends on Google's behavior, browser controls and the property's settings; this site does not promise a fixed retention period for information already sent to Google. - Clarity storage: Microsoft documents first-party cookies such as
_clckand_clskfor associating interaction data and page views. Whether cookies are set and whether visits can be joined depends on browser controls and Microsoft's processing and consent rules. See Clarity cookies; this site does not promise a fixed retention period or complete recording for every visit. - Advertising storage: Adsterra or an advertising partner may use cookies or similar identifiers when a Display or Native Banner loads. Their names, purposes and lifetime are controlled by the relevant third party and may vary by campaign, browser and location.
Browser settings apply separately to each browser and device. Blocking cookies may affect identifiers without necessarily blocking all analytics requests; blocking the analytics script or its network requests is a separate control.
Browser Controls and Privacy Requests
Use your browser's cookie, site-data and tracking-protection settings to manage storage and requests. These controls do not require a website account. This website does not provide an analytics preference button. Deleting cookies alone does not prevent new cookies from being created on a later visit if analytics remains allowed by your browser.
Blocking future analytics requests does not automatically erase records already received by Google or Microsoft. For a request about information already collected, email Kevin with enough context to explain the request. Do not send passwords or sensitive game-account information. We may need clarification because the available analytics does not necessarily let us identify a particular visitor.
Contact Messages and Website Delivery
If you email the operator, your message, address and any information you include are processed to answer the request. This website does not provide a public comment form, an account system, or a working build-feedback submission service. Avoid sending information unrelated to your request.
Serving a website requires network delivery. Hosting and network services may process technical connection data, such as IP addresses and requested resources, independently of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Their operational log retention is not specified in this policy; blocking analytics does not prevent the technical processing needed to deliver the site. Email and hosting records are distinct from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity records.
Policy Updates
The date above identifies this policy revision. Changes to advertising, analytics behavior or data uses should be reflected here. The Wanderburg guide library remains available when browser privacy tools block advertising or analytics.
